Who Made Me a Princess: Audiobook Project | CLAUDE OPEN
RedfieldSG for Claude de Alger Obelia
Claude de Alger Obelia is the current reigning emperor of the Empire of Obelia. In the fictional book The Lovely Princess, aka Athanasia’s previous fate, Claude completely ignored Athanasia for her entire life, eventually killing her after she was framed of poisoning Jennette. In this new life, he seems to be less cold and uncaring towards Athanasia. Claude attempts to show affection in an almost tsundere-like manner.
A cruel and merciless leader, but a strangely affectionate father.
This character’s voice actor will have to narrate Claude’s perspective in third person as well, though not often.
Voice type: Mid-low to Low, that of an adult but not gravely. Strong and stoic.
(Emotionless, aggressive) “The suffocating feeling whenever your face comes to mind will soon disappear when you're gone. So die right now.”
Context: Claude has lost all his memories of Athanasia due to dark magic. This also causes him to be in pain whenever he sees her. Because of this, he is about to kill her.
(Desperate, emotional) “I've lost. From beginning to end I've been toyed with. If you want I'll even beg. If I don't at least do this I fear you will disappear completely. I know, I know. This is just another foolish emotional plea...even knowing that, I'm here again. Although I know how this ends...don't think about anything else. Make a decision for you and you alone. Don't go. Choose me. Now, in this moment, not the child who is eating away your life, but me!”
Context: He is begging Athanasia’s mother to abort her child and save her own life.
(Surprise me!) “If you want it that badly, then I suppose I have no choice. I usually hate such noisy places, but...yes. I promise.”
Context: Athanasia asked him to be at her debutante and dance with her.
Hi there! Thank you for auditioning! I hope feedback is okay! First of all, the pitches you experimented with voice-wise were great! Delivery wise, for the first line, I liked your first take the best! Good job with the aggressiveness. With the second line, I think your second take was your strongest! There was a bit of stumbling with the words and you seemed to have a hard time keeping the voice consistent, but the emotion was clear and the buildup was really good. Your second take of the third line was the closest to my own interpretation as well! As a whole, I did notice a bit of background noise and static in your recording, but it didn’t affect my listening experience too much. Good job! Thank you again for your audition!
It means a lot to hear feedback, thanks a ton! I was trying a new setup with this recording so it's good to hear about the static and the like. Did you hear any discernible amount of echo with this?
Anytime! And if there was any echo in your audition, it didn’t stand out to me at all. Keep messing around with that new setup!! You got this!
Thanks a ton! And best of luck with this project!
