Info:

Personality: Kore is sweet, sickeningly sweet at times. She was in a car crash shortly after her term in the military, losing her arm in the process. While her arm hinders her in some ways, she remains optimistic, noting she’s still alive by miraculous standards. She runs her shop with her daughter, and proves quite single minded at times, especially arguing with her daughter.

She’s the first NPCs the player meets in the game outside of a cutscene.

She sounds rather unrealistic and rather childish at times.

Line Count: Light

Notes: One of her signature things to do is her aggressive kissy face. This is where her lips pucker and the background has a repeated “Chu” in Japanese Hiragana (Araysia uses a lot of Chinese, Japanese, Swiss and French influence).

Voice:

Description:Preferably high and cartoonish, Innocent,  memorable.

  • “Welcome, Welcome, WELCOME sweetness! Come to buy in a jiff? just grab your items and let’s get to it!”

  • [Cheesy story] “I hope the sugar fairy is real. My mom always told me that if I was a good girl, the sugar fairy would grant all my cookie wishes. One day, I wished really hard and I found the cookie I wished for, and attached to it was some kid. The sugar fairy gave me something sweeter than candy, and that was a new friend~” [grumbling] “And [Name] never did share that cookie…”

  • [Like a machine gun i.e. “pew pew”] “Chuu! Chuu! Chuu! Chuu! Chuu! Chuu! Chuu!” (Have fun with this line. It’d be on loop during the aggressive kissy face. Chuu is “Kiss’ in Japanese, and it’s what we use to signify a kiss in sound effects.)

Hello there :) You requested some feedback, so I'm here to help! I'll try to help out with these auditions as well as some I've heard on your profile. You have such a lovely voice! Please don't get discouraged! I'm going to give you mainly constructive criticism, because I think knowing what to work on is the best way to get your roles :) You have a really nice voice, and your microphone quality is passable (it has a few cracks and pops but nothing too difficult to fix). My biggest thing to focus on is your line delivery. You have a very unique way of delivering your lines, but it can come across as a bit unnatural or even a bit choppy at times. What you may need to try is reading the lines as though you, yourself is saying them instead of reading them. Make sure your line delivery is varied, and be your character! You are auditioning to be their voice after all~ Have tons of fun with it and try to venture outside of your comfort zone! :) To use this audition as a specific example, you actually did a really good job on the "smile for me" lines, but then the rest sounded a bit disconnected. Remember that each line is connected and the emotions and phrasing should be too! You totally have the potential there! The whole "If you don't understand then leave" part, it worked really well because you sounded really stern. the next sentence needed to sound a bit different, but carried the same emotion than the last. Own the characters and make sure they sound unique and interesting. My biggest critique again, focus on your line delivery and work on doing that. Make sure each line sounds natural and flows nicely. Another thing, try to do multiple takes, even if you don't upload them~ practice the lines and do a few takes until you make it absolutely perfect~ Other than that, great work! I hope this helped a little bit! Have a wonderful day!
