Roy has been worn down to his core because of the zombie apocalypse, losing much of his hope and becoming extremely protective over his group of survivors. He acts like a jerk towards his romantic partner, Lindsay, but he's really only trying to protect her from her acting on a whim. For this role, looking for a mid-to-low tone voice whose voice the audience can view as a jerk.
(pissed that Lindsay let the dog inside the camp) Dammit, Lindsay! I told you to leave that dog alone!
(grumpy after waking up and hearing people complain) I shouldn't have woke up this morning if I was going to have to deal with everyone's bullshit.
