Jody is the lead role. She's a young girl, around the age of 9 or 10. She's quite shy, especially when meeting new people and this is reflected in her quiet tone. When she's with her mum she tries to be playful and inquisitive. She's had a tough upbringing and struggled to bond with her mother during the time of addiction. 

The lines listed are taken from a scene where Jody loses her mum, and so acts quite shy when she's talking to Sammy. She's also a little fed up and tired because she's worried.
