Arknights - Fandub Project
keanehandiam for Ace (+ Additional Male Voice/ Unnamed Soldiers)
An veteran defender and operational guide, Ace was one of the figureheads in leading the extraction and retreat from Chernobog in the mission to retrieve the Doctor. He's considered a respected member of the primary operation force of Rhodes Island, and holds prior history with the Doctor and Amiya, stating he was especially good friends with the Doctor to the point that he was willing to make the ultimate sacrifice to aid his allies during the final retreat from Chernobog.

That's enough Amiya, you've done more than your share. Dobermann, take her with you. I'll see you soon.
I wish you had done all of the lines for this one, but this isn't bad. Pitch certainly deepened and your cadence improved. However, I need a bit more emotional backing behind your line here, as it doesn't really sell an emotional sacrifice here. Still though, it's an improvement over your prior audition.
Then I'll try for this pitch with all of the lines. However it's a bit difficult to bring a great deal of emotion with his personality(from what you described) and his age/experience. Because it doesn't feel like tears are gonna be part of the scenario and it doesn't feel like he'd be choked up either. This is a loss. Something to be expected in war time. Being solemn is to be expected, but I don't know what exactly to bring to the table. I tried looking up his voice lines and came up with nothing. Are there any other references you can give me?
I think it might be more a section of the line rather than the whole of it. When you say, 'you've done more than your fair share', it doesn't sound like a case of emotional finality or somberness but almost normalized, matter-of-fact speech. Maybe I'm focusing too much on that section or nitpicking here but, I'm not getting a sense of acceptance of death or sacrifice here. Take a quote from this scene with Bruce Willis , as overplayed as Armageddon is as a movie it shows an acceptance for death from his character. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OYcTmiCtCv8
That I can do my good sir.
