Archipelago Audio Project - Book 3
waddles_mcgee for Tin-Can-Turtle
Tin-Can-Turtle is an elderly servant who works in William’s home as a housekeeper and butler. Polite to a fault, he WILL serve guests tea when they visit. While he is blind, Tin-Can is a member of a non-human species called the Seraniths, and has an acute sense of smell. Despite his advanced age, Tin-Can is highly capable and possesses powerful magic, though he rarely uses it.

Oh, I'm sorry, did I scare you? I'd hate to scare a guest...
(chuckles) Oh, I feel it. I'm already blind and half-deaf, but the master still lets me work.
There is something very odd about that girl...
Hi Waddles, thanks for the audition! You sound a bit too young here to play Tin-Can, and your delivery is a tad fast for an elderly character. There’s also a series of clicks heard throughout the audition that distract from your performance. Finally, the emotion is a bit one-note. I can’t speak for all other project managers, but in my experience multiple audition lines are frequently selected to allow the actors to display a range of emotions that the character displays in the course of the story. Best of luck with your future auditions!
