"Y" is a Spirit as old as he is stubborn. He serves as Samurai "J" 's Guardian Spirit, and only her strong will is able to keep the irritable Spirit in check. While "Y" may seem to hold everyone in contempt, in truth he cares deeply for the future of the world, even if he's a bit grumpy about it.

  • "Hmph, I'll yield to your judgement...this time." (Curt, but not wanting to admit Samurai "J" has the right idea)

  • "I've traversed sand more threatening than you." (Condescending, disinterested)

  • "If you believe I'll just let you hurt her, then you're even dumber than you look." (Betrays his care for Samurai "J", and threatening the person with his full might)
