Rei is the lone wolf of the group and a talented hacker of few words. He is solemn and unemotional at first, keeping others at arm's length. He comes off as apathetic and harsh at first since he avoids everyone he can if possible. Rei works alone with the exception of Hackmon, and while he does ally himself with the Drivers occasionally, he still remains separated from them for quite some time. Rei is trying to find his missing younger brother, Hajime, who went missing after Leviathan abducted him two years prior to the story. As such, Rei has been involved with the war against Leviathan the longest. He will do anything to find the truth behind Hajime’s difference, no matter how immoral it is. He and Hackmon are partners.
