Persona 5 Manga Dub: Chapter 1
McLovin508 for Joker
Joker needs a calm/laid back teenage male tone, but i also need someone who isn't afraid of showing emotions either for this guy
(Questioning and curious): "Kamo-...shida? King of the castle?"
(Slightly confused and concerned): "Huh? Where did this app come from? Did I my phone bump around in my pocket and download it by mistake?"
(Slightly disgusted): "Curry for breakfast?"
Hey man! Thank you for auditioning. Your tone is pretty good for the character, you're mic sounded a little quiet on my end, but it could be something you're messing around with in your settings. I could hear some background noise as well. The last line seemed to lack the emotion I was looking for as well, I needed it to sound more like curious and questionable. If you would like my advice on equipment, since you have a USB mic, I suggest getting a pop filter and a foam cover to eliminate some background noise. I also suggest recording in a room that doesn't have any sort of noise issues such as a closet, I know it may sound weird, but it's isolated enough to record in, you can also purchase sound absorbing foam as well! Do you use any editing audio stuff such as Audacity? Sometimes you can clean up some background noise sound and such. Don't take my words to harshly, just wanted to help you out since you're starting out! You have potential though! Thank you for auditioning! :)
Thanks it could be quiet because I recorded this at midnight but I've been cleaning out my closet to get rid of background noise. The last line had Disgusted in parentheses but also had the question mark at the end so I ended getting a more annoyed/angry sounding line, my bad. Also I use Audacity and it completely skipped my mind to clean up the background noise. Thank you for the advice and don't worry everything you said was constructive so it's all good. I look forward to possibly working with you in the future though if I don't get the part. Good Luck
Yeah man! You have a really good USB quality mic, a lot of people prefer to use that because it does have good audio quality! Yeah that's perfect! Clean out that closet and record in there! You'll be surprised by clear your audio will sound! If you ever want even more advice in the future for good quality mics and audio stuff, lemme know! I am working with an audio engineer on this who know's his stuff! So he's been helping me! I will keep you in mind for future projects! Lemme know if you ever want anymore advice! :)
