CalVO for Montagnis Haelund
Montagnis Haelund is the main antagonist of his son's story. As the current president of Qorus, he owns the world. The city of Qorus has grown so large over the centuries that it could now be considered as a country, with its cancerous malice spewing beyond its walls. Montagnis won the Great War of Pyrel 20 years ago against his siblings for the possession of Qorus and was one of the only Haelund's left standing. He is the root of the world's political corruption, economic crisis and societal inequality. His family is and has been the very cyst that brought the world to its knees.
The potion of war brews again; beyond the walls of Qorus, Yden's mercenary guild is the only military faction to escape Haelund's rule. They may be outnumbered in weaponry soldiers, but the guild has slowly been growing. Soon, the war to end all wars will begin, but Ellis knows this war will end the world.
About the character's voice:
He is now in his late 50s and has been ruling Qorus since his early 30s, making him the longest reigning man of his family in history. He has outwitted and crushed every faction that has opposed him throughout his life, his own flesh and blood included. Millions of people want him dead yet he has survived this long. This speaks volumes of his manipulation skills and his ability to constantly play one step ahead. He is imperturbable and unbreakable, always calm, but with ferocity and charisma to boot. He is a warlord in a businessman's suit. Much like his son, an RP British accent is required.
"I see. I’ve recently been informed of the situation. Over 60 tribesmen were slaughtered in the span of an hour. Is this true? ... You, alone, single-handedly brought down our biggest threat at North Pyrel (py-REL)?”
“Tell me; what is it that you plan to do exactly, hm? Stay here to take on petty odd-jobs? Wasting away fighting a no man’s war? Both of us know you deserve better than this. You are not average. I wouldn’t be here if you were.”
"Peace, my son. Let them have at it. Their hearsay's can be misconstrued as truth for now."
