Bill has been living quaintly in mediocrity for his entire life. Not really experiencing much more than the norms of society, his relationships with the people around him are humble and contrived. He works full time moving cargo at a shipping dock along the coast of a small village for a minimum wage salary. He is barely able to afford food and decent clothes, let alone the room in the apartment complex he resides in. In fact, he refuses to pay for the electricity, meaning that he is mostly ignorant from the goings-on of the outside world without a working television, radio or computer. This doesn’t bother him in the slightest however, as he is mostly absent from his home. He spends the day working and the evening on the beach alone in solitude, practicing Kata and meditating for hours on end. This is all he does and all he has ever known to do. Basic self defense is now mandatory in education systems and this is the only subject he pursued. Since he decided not to carry onto higher forms of education, most of what he has learned about the art of fighting is self taught either through literature or personal experience.

About the character's voice:
Bill is a quiet, stoic and standoffish 20 year-old young man. He often comes off as cold and uninterested. However, due to his hard upbringing and suppressed emotions, Bill can easily switch to a more intimidating and aggressive tone when his patience runs thin. We're looking for a low to low-mid, something with a bit of bass.

  • (Stern and cold) "Sorry, but I don't know you and more importantly, I don't care. Leave me alone."

  • (Blunt) "Huh? Oh, the tournament. I went home. Had to work overtime."

  • (Doubtful) "Are mercenaries always this, uh... skilled?"

Thank you so much for the feedback! This is one of the most in depth responses to an Audition I've had and one of the most helpful. I was too close to the Mic for sure I do have a pop filter :) Look forward to working with you and the crew! I'll keep working on this accent in the mean time haha
