Going Nowhere SEASON 1

*Character is non-binary, female presenting in voice
Ellie Novak is the person in Nowhere closest to Meg. A best friend and possible love interest, Ellie is a worker at the Museum of Nowhere. She tends to be matter-of-fact and a fake sort of sociable, except with Meg, who she tends to be a bit more open and kind with. They bonded over historical mysteries and are now the only two that can stand each other for an extended period of time.
Hey, Meg – it looks like your theory about the cellar of the museum being part of the old foundation was correct. I finally had the closing shift last night, so I went down and – oh. (Flustered) Sorry - I didn’t realize you were recording – your mom said I could just come in – I’m sorry.
I… I don’t really know why I’m so involved. I mean, don’t get me wrong. History is great – I’m a junior member of the Nowhere Historical Society – why wouldn’t I like history. But I’m fine with it the way it is. Meg’s not like that. When she looks at those stories, it’s more than just dates and names on a page. They’re puzzle pieces; polaroids of people’s lives that she’s desperately trying to fit within each other. I think she’s hoping that when she stands back, it’ll all make one big picture that finally makes sense. (She goes quiet) It doesn’t make a lot of sense, Charlie. At this point in my life, I’ve accepted that not a lot of things do. I just hope Meg can accept it too.
