Role assigned to: annie_axolotl

Despite managing accounts and staying above the books, (Role 2) has an interest in the excitement of (Role 1)'s work. Being behind a desk all day balancing ledgers for their father's partners is not stimulating them enough. While perhaps inexperienced, (Role 2) is full of a fiery passion to get away from the law, and into the family business. However, her passion is seen as an obstacle by (Role 1) as it is (Role 1)'s goal to keep (Role 2) safe. This leads to a lot of resentment from (Role 2) towards (Role 1). As a result, while (Role 2) may be a softer and refined speaker with their peers, a far more unrefined and vulgar speak comes out when addressing (Role 1). This may result in more slang and offensive language despite their education and level of normal day to day sophistication. Truly bored with the day to day details, (Role 2) is ready to jump at the first sight of danger and excitement.

  • Line 1: "I think there are better ways to run our organization in regards to the humanity we show people. Not everyone needs to die." (Strongly attempting to illustrate their point.)

  • Line 2: "Someone got there before you did..." (surprised at the start but trails off into a horrific realization.)

  • Line 3: "Don't you think I know that?... (breath)... All I'm saying is that we should weigh all of our options before going to the last resort." (aggravated, then collecting themselves and restating their point.)

Thank you for the delightful audition Annie_Axolotl! There was some gravitation to your audition from the judges immediately! Your range is what fit the character so well (as far as how the character was written by AVAT) We are aware that there is very little direction for these roles, but that is supposed to add to the fun! "Not everyone needs to die" your first two reads we solid and would have been accepted immediately if these characters were being cast for the story they are apart of! really good work there! Your last read of line one you go for a more radical read, and it falls short because of execution! You got close, but the read ended up not being as explosive as it needed to be unfortunately! Our recommendation for you is to not hold back when going for these more erratic reads! It seems like you were going to the right place in your head, but when it came out it wasn't quite what you need it to sell the authenticity of the feelings you were trying to convey. Really great work overall though! Line 2 has been tricky for everyone that has auditioned with how little direction there is. We enjoyed your read! It wasn't quite what we were looking for, but a good read for the directions you went with both reads! For the last line, the judges appreciated the subdued and frustrated approach that you took for both reads. They thought it was the right direction for you to go after hearing the first half of your audition! If there is any advice for this line it would also follow the advice earlier of not being afraid to push more exaggeration into your reads! Overall it was a delight to listen to your audition Annie_Axolotl! We hope that you'll consider participating in more of our events! Thank you again!
