Sherman Conway, a stern, calculated man. He has spent the better part of his entire life living in the woods outside Keva, his home. Sherman is the unofficial leader of Keva's Fallen, a group of exiles and followers of Mithatwai, The Damned. They take in Gwinnett, who they see as the catalyst to the arrival of one of their god's, Serilda. 

Sherman is a middle-aged, often gruff and preoccupied man. He doesn't take much of a liking towards Gwinnett. His voice is graveled and worn. Like many of Keva's Fallen he is unsure of their survival. We meet Sherman when he's lost nearly all of his hope.
