Wuzzterfuzz for Role 1
Working in debt collections for his esteemed father, (Role 1) does whatever they need to for their family and their name. Working in debt collections has made them akin to the brutal nature of the world. (Role 1) is a chaotic but smart character with some psychopathic tendencies. They are capable of delivering a very rude and antagonizing line while smiling the entire way. They can be found in deep dialogue with themselves about their situation. Whether it is small decor or the difference between life and death (Role 1) is likely thinking about it. As a result (Role 1) is very calculated and deliberate with their thoughts when they decide to share them, even if the thoughts themselves are a bit exaggerated. This is also exemplified in the way they deliver their lines. Not a syllable is out of place. However they can be a bit sporadic.
Line 1: "She’s a kind-hearted person, but that just has no place in my world." (as-a-matter-of-fact, then cuts to a cold second half)
Line 2: "I know you mean well, and I know you want to be a part of this business. But I am not going to allow that." (Acknowledging and affirming, with a lot of heart)
Line 3: "If there is one thing I know for certain, it's the black-and-white nature of our family's business. Either pay up when payment is due, or pay with your life, simple really." (Explaining while becoming more and more comical)
What a great audition Wuzzterfuzz! Thank you for auditioning! to show you our appreciation we'd love to give you just a little bit of feedback! Line 1: Your first read was a favorite among the judges! As great as it was, there were some thoughts on how you might get the second half feeling more like a cold cut off. One of those thoughts was to have it end on a lower pitch and try to find some resonance with it, and cut off the air in the voicing of "Wurld" cutting off the duh from the end. Truly a great read though! Line 2: All 3 reads are some of the most genuine reads of this entire event! Also we can take a second to appreciate the ad lib happening in every read that you've done. The additional contributions are welcomed, though we don't state so anywhere on the project page. Digressing, we did wish that there was just a little more range on these reads! We believe you could really take an audition to the next level by going all out in certain spots of your reads specifically on the key words like "not" and "can't." Even so really enjoyable performance! Line 3: Some of the pauses in between your words are a little off, nothing someone couldn't place, but just something to note. It makes things come off as a little robotic and read like a script, despite the ad lib. Your last read of this line was a favorite among judges. They really appreciated how it sounds like you get closer to the microphone on the "...Or pay with your life..." Great performance! Overall: It really seemed like you picked up somethings and did some slight experimenting, all of which was all very welcome. Some specific notes on certain lines, but otherwise a very enjoyable audition! Thank you very much Wuzzterfuzz! We look forward to hopefully seeing you in more events!
