Trina for Role 2

Voice Actor
Voice Actor
Role 2
closed
Unpaid
Role assigned to: annie_axolotl

Despite managing accounts and staying above the books, (Role 2) has an interest in the excitement of (Role 1)'s work. Being behind a desk all day balancing ledgers for their father's partners is not stimulating them enough. While perhaps inexperienced, (Role 2) is full of a fiery passion to get away from the law, and into the family business. However, her passion is seen as an obstacle by (Role 1) as it is (Role 1)'s goal to keep (Role 2) safe. This leads to a lot of resentment from (Role 2) towards (Role 1). As a result, while (Role 2) may be a softer and refined speaker with their peers, a far more unrefined and vulgar speak comes out when addressing (Role 1). This may result in more slang and offensive language despite their education and level of normal day to day sophistication. Truly bored with the day to day details, (Role 2) is ready to jump at the first sight of danger and excitement.

  • Line 1: "I think there are better ways to run our organization in regards to the humanity we show people. Not everyone needs to die." (Strongly attempting to illustrate their point.)

  • Line 2: "Someone got there before you did..." (surprised at the start but trails off into a horrific realization.)

  • Line 3: "Don't you think I know that?... (breath)... All I'm saying is that we should weigh all of our options before going to the last resort." (aggravated, then collecting themselves and restating their point.)

Hey Trina! It's always a pleasure to work with you, and we are super excited that you auditioned! we'd love to show our appreciation by giving a tiny bit of feedback to hopefully help you in your future auditions and career! Line 1: The judges really enjoyed the pitch intonation in your reads of this line! However, your diction in a couple spots had a few consonants running together, which just didn't sound as nice to the ear! You definitely caught the right emotions and your execution was really good! Keep working on keeping your readings clean unless directed otherwise! Delightful acting, just gotta stay on our toes! Line 2: This was perhaps the most perplexing mistake we saw, but all of your reads of line two have you saying "Somewhere (suhm·wehr) got there before you did." when the line is "Some one (suhm·wuhn) got there before you did" It was a strange thing to hear. Our advice is to always make sure you are comfortable with the script material, and fully prepped when you audition! If pronunciation is ever an issue, you can use google's pronunciation tool! Though we believe that you more than likely simply misread the line, it is always nice to share those tools! Line 3: The judges like that you went against the direction to recollect, but rather allowed yourself to carry that frustration into the second half of the read! It was a nice and welcomed addition to your audition! Of course never be afraid to over exaggerate that frustration to get more out of it! It is always easier to tune back than push further! Thank you for the wonderful Audition Trina! We look forward to doing more work with you and hope you'll audition for more of our events in the near future! Thanks again!
