After waking up at the end of episode 16, Shinji has finally grown a spine and sets out to protect those he cares about. He still has his emotional moments like in the original, but does not runaway anymore.

I'm looking an actor who sounds close to Spike Spencer's version of Shinji.

Shinji is shy and hypersensitive, but can now stand his ground.

  • (Shinji is curled up against a wall, feeling hopeless as the end of the world is near and he can't stop it. He silently voices his sense of hopelessness)
