Sure! 1. If I squint, I can maybe see your voice fitting the character. I’m happy that you auditioned for the character, and your opinion may be different, but I think the voice in the audition is slightly too old for this character. You sound more in your early to mid 30’s. The tone of authority and presence is there that suggests an older voice - I’m looking for a younger, slightly meeker voice who befits the role of a subordinate. Knowing your voice and knowing which archetypes you’d be suited for is a key piece of information when it comes to auditions. Looking through your audition history, I see “Myster Oldman”, “Golbez” and “Yang” from Final Fantasy - those are much better suited for your voice than a character like this. At the same time, if you are able to young-up your voice and comfortably act with it, then it’s another story. :) ——— 2. The 2nd audition line is spot on - only I’d direct you to output more energy. Right now I’m hearing a 6 or a 7. I need this to be an 8 at minimum. Otherwise, great delivery! —— 3. Because of the 2nd audition line, which was also a burst response, and because this one follows right after, this one needs to be bigger than the 2nd audition line. I’d direct you to output this at a 10, then say the remaining line at 8. Does this make sense? —— 4. Lastly, the 2nd and 3rd audition lines need to be delivered quicker. The direction asked for a “quick burst response”. Quick means delivering in one breath - burst means explosive energy. I talked about the energy so that’s that, but the speed in which you read was more like delivering a line. I was looking for a ‘response/reaction’ which is quick, instant, knee-jerk instant, perhaps, or just plainly delivered-as-quickly-as-possible-in-one-breath. xD — I hope these comments are helpful.
