Ahh. Well, she IS a high school girl, after all. She's in her puberty, so I'm sure it's difficult for you.

  • (quick burst response)

EH!? BUT *YOU* SAID IT YOURSELF, CHIEF!

Hi and thanks for auditioning! Since you requested, here’s some feedback. 1. Love the accent! Personally I’m thoroughly enjoying the diversity of talent here on CCC and I absolutely love it. :D Please see other feedback that I’ve left on other auditions regarding accented English voice actors, as the same message applies to you. ——— 2. The levels for the second and third lines are great - it’s at a proper volume and there’s no peaking. However, your first line is too quiet - which leads me to think that you set the level for your loud projected voice, then recorded the whole thing. Next time, set a level for audition line #1. Then set the level again for audition line #2. You could probably leave the levels where it’s at for #3. The message is that you have to adjust the levels according to what you’re going to record. *Generally speaking*, you want your peaks of the audio (the loudest parts of your waveform) to hit just above -6dbs WITHOUT normalizing the audio. I hope this makes sense. —— 3. The “EH?!” is a typical surprise reaction used in many anime characters. Your reaction of “EH!?” is a valid and correct one, but not necessarily what the character is saying. As many of the projects here on CCC are about manga and anime, it’d be helpful to watch more anime and observe the characters so that you’re able to identify what the audition is looking for. — I hope these comments are helpful to you. Good luck!
