Looking for an actor who can express vulnerability in a character.
Direction: Deadpan. Statement that is matter-of-fact. Yet, I'd like to hear a "I've been crying for the past 30 minutes and have just calmed down" tone in your voice.
...I'm crying because this food is delicious.Direction: Frustration and confusion. Say the line LOUDLY in a SMALL VOICE into the phone and do not let the other people hear you. Quick-paced and should feel improvised.
Ugh, Mommm! Why don't donabe have the marks on the inside for rice cooking?! I tried to be cool and said I could make it! What's a cup?! How much is it?! If you hear this message, please give me a call! (pronounce "donabe" - DOnabeh)Direction: Timid and hesitating at first - not sure if this appropriate, but slowly building and eventually bursting out, as you can't hold it in anymore. Notice all the pauses - use them, please.
I'm... I'm going to be... ... eating dinner alone most of the time from now on. So... Would you eat with me? Sensei! Could we cook and eat together?
