Those who are familiar with Mother Brain in the games will know who this character is. For everyone else, this is a giant brain in a jar who serves as the final boss of the original game. Mother Brain has never been shown speaking before, but I feel it's integral to a possible movie. She begins as a supercomputer designed to help the Galactic Federation achieve a level of communication across the galaxy that's unheard of and was developed with the help of the dying Chozo race. This causes her to be more A.I.-like in her appearance during Act 1. However, she is eventually taken by the Space Pirates and becomes much more malevolent and convinced of her superiority, especially in regard to the wholly mechanical recreations of her known as the Aurora Units. Her voice in Act 3 (which is where the audition lines come from) would be closer to the Borg Queen from Star Trek: First Contact. Calm, but always giving a threatening aura. She is in complete control.
The Aurora program was meant to be purely mechanical. But my biology was needed to properly process all the information. Only a Chozo brain could decipher Chozo history effectively and make it viable for the Galactic Federation. Of course, once that was finished, what use am I? I would be left utterly alone. Disposed of as trash. It was all so clear to me when Ridley attacked K-2L. My purpose was so much greater.
