Sou is a mystery to the player, as the game implicates him from the very start. In his introduction, Sou is friendly in general but a bit standoffish. He's secretive due to being distrustful of the other participants. Despite this, he participates in searching for clues with everyone. Sou is canny and intelligent, but due to his suspicious nature, has a habit of jumping to negative conclusions, especially in regards to Sara. He cannot comprehend Sara's charisma and is both resentful and envious of how she manages to gain the others' trust. Survival is his main priority, and with knowledge of his survival rates (provided by the organization), his previous personality snaps and warps to what he believes would better serve his continued existence. This also means lying to achieve whatever ends, and skillfully at that.
"H...Hey now... Fighting's no good."
"Well then, I should introduce myself too? My name is Sou Hiyori... err... well. Just a job-hopper. Ahaha..."
"Aww... he died. But good for you! Your opinion had more supporters!"
(Shocked) "I did it..." (With more excitement) "I did it, I did it, it went great Miss Sara!” (Sudden realization who he's talking to; quickly composes self) “Ah. Quit it with the weird chipperness, Miss Sara.”
