My Choker -historical supernatural horror Audiobook-
Sam English VA for Mordecai
Mordecai is a lead role, so he will take a lot of dedication and time. (As of this point and time, he has around 7,160 words of narration, these numbers are subject to change/go up)
He is the purest of the characters and truly the kindest and most innocent. He's had a rough upbringing and past, starting with the fact that he was born deformed and rebuked by his father. Despite this, Mordecai is ambitious and ready to face the world's struggles. He usually talks rather gently, but he has his firm moments. He may be innocent, but he certainly is not naive.
Comforting and reassuring - “Shall I make sure you are not alone?”
A very heated and passionate moment - “I want you more than words could ever explain. The beauty of your soul and heart, your caress, your voice and talents, even your appearance. All of it. I want all of you. I want to experience all of you. Even when you’re difficult or upset. Let me be there.”
Retelling his past trauma - “”She was as beautiful as a goddess and as virtuous as an angel. Everything you’re not. And now she’s dead because of you.” That’s what my father used to tell me…and I…believed him. Sometimes, I still do. I lived my whole life blaming myself for her death, believing that I am a murderer.”
Somewhat smug but also in admiration - “You’re a brave girl, coming down here all by yourself.”
Suspicious and concerned - “Charlotte has brought up that he is a liar. Perhaps, he only feigns his bad grammar to come off as meek and innocent. But after seeing those teeth of his, I am beginning to slightly understand the kind of man I am dealing with. I used to say that Signor Abelló had a toothy grin full of misdeeds and lies. I have a feeling that the two aren’t very different. Or worse: they are incredibly different, just that Signor Abelló couldn’t hold up a candle to how much more the Count’s misdeeds are.”
Reassuring - “Because I love you so much. And because I know you love me.”
