Axel is ambitious for a child, striving to be higher in the ranks than his current spot in the seventh most powerful child in the Bunker. He protects his friends and cares for them wholeheartedly, especially Xalia, who he has a rather fraternal relationship with. He is Giga's best friend and close competitor, the two currently arguing in a friendly manner about winning a fight against the other. In terms of power, they are rather evenly matched. Axel isn't the best optimist, and is not very good at making people feel better, but he is a good friend to have in the Bunker, given the dark situation all the children find themselves in.
