Briar is your typical teenager, doing her best to just survive her adolescent years in order to grow up. She is very serious about contributing to society, but she also isn’t always sure how to go about it, and her inexperience leads to mistakes which lead to a bout of temper. Still, under all her teenager-y moodiness, she’s a kind heart with a good soul. She loves her family and her town and would do anything to keep them safe.
Briar’s first appearance was on page 9.

Briar: I swear, sometimes I feel like the only adult in this family.
BRIAR: So. Who wants to go first?
BRIAR: FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!!
BRIAR: Mum, Belfry adopted Tamberlane. Stop being an arse about it.
BRIAR: Belfry, Mum has years of experience. You should listen to what she has to say, or whatever.
BRIAR: Now talk. Or I’ll dunk you both in the frying oil.
Hello, Seer! Thank you so much for your audition and for your interest in this project. You did a wonderful job! I really like your interpretation of Briar! Would you perhaps mind reauditioning, but with a slightly lower pitch? Also, would you mind saying the last couple of lines with pure anger and frustration? At this point in the comic, Briar is at a breaking point. She feels like the family is falling apart and unless Tess; her Mom, and Belfry; her sister stop fighting, something really bad is going to happen. Besides that, everything was perfect! Thank you!
