Can't help but ignore his kids after the death of their sister. He knew he was close to a breakthrough but he hadn't thought that his machine would capture the sights of his own child too. Spending his days mostly underground watching the machine that holds his daughter's soul. The moment the eyes changed, he knew she was there and couldn't help but spend more time experimenting and watching his only daughter compared to watching his two sons. 

When the incident happened he didn't think much of it. He was quite odd and had murderous tendencies so he wasn't surprised when his eldest son, the one who always wanted his attention, caused an almost fatal accident.

(He's only going to show up like once or twice and won't say much. He mostly going to be silently watching his soon to be dead son, his already dead daughter, and possibly checking in once and awhile on Micheal to see if his violent tendencies have changed. He basically sees his children as experiments and only shifts his attention to them when something that doesn't usually happen in a child's lifespan happens to them.)
