After the fall of the Empire, Snoke took command of the remnants of the Imperial navy, and with the help of Rae Sloane and Brendol Hux reshaped it into the First Order, a more brutal and better equipped version of the Empire, ready to take on the New Republic and its Resistance. Snoke even managed to lure Ben Solo to the dark side, transforming him into the ruthless - if unstable - Kylo Ren.
