Character Description: Sunset Shimmer was defeated, but her power-hungry demonic form had a lasting effect. She was left striving for control of any form and fairly insane. When her son was young, she told him horror stories of the bat-like demons she and her minions had transformed into, instilling him with a deep fear of bats. Her desire to control led her to treating her son as servant, using his fears to manipulate him.
