The current King of the Kingdom of Earlshide and was in fact saved by Merlin and Melinda when he was a young man he was nearly killed by the Humanoid Demon and they have been good friends ever since he came around a lot while Shin was growing up and is like a Uncle to him and Diseum cares for Shin as a Nephew and even offers to get him into the exams for his Magical Academy and promises to never use him for Military gain. He is a kind and just King but knows when to bring the hammer of justice down to protect his people.
