Technically, all I did was my job. Evelyn and Bailey are my charges, and I matched them with their soulmates. And, to quote page 27, Section 8, subsection C of the cupid guidebook: Upon being assigned a charge, a cupid is given the charge’s list of potential soulmates, a list seared into the charge’s heart at the moment of their birth. A cupid’s sole job is to match their charge with one of their potential soulmates.

You also threatened to clip my wings for 20 years if I don’t break up two of my matches. *Pause* I get that you’re doing what you think is right, I do. But so am I. And right now it feels like you care so much more about your rules and regulations and what the elders might think than me, or trying to understand why I have to do this.
