All of a sudden, Avace was no longer compelled by greed. The time running his militia didn't matter. Only the forest mattered -- the one he was hired to burn down. It mattered a lot. So much, he'd die for it. Even before wasting away to wasp venom, Avace was not sound of mind. He speaks in an excitedly, near-unstable tone. 

  • As well as I'm paid. Of course. By the way, do I really know what I'm paid for? 

  • It occurred. It makes no difference whether I'm why it did.

  • (raving mad) You trusted Brokes? After all he's done... You trust Brokes?
