Joseph doesn’t have the best home life. His mother is sick and dying and bedridden, his father is nothing but an abusive parent and pushes Joseph to do things he doesn’t want to do, like marry the eldest daughter of the Angel race. Joseph is overly protective of his little siblings because he raised them on his own when his father was out leading his troops into another war and when his mother was too sick to move.

Since Joseph doesn’t have the best home life, he has random fits of depression when he gets super sad or is ever alone. He tries to make up for that fact by being funny and flirting because he has no other way to cope. He walks around acting like he has bunches of friends and always tries to play the part of the funny one.
