Kafei is an adult male, cursed to look like a child from Skull Kid's power. He is Anju's fiancee, and in hiding due to being turned into a child. He recruits Link to help retrieve a mask that was stolen from him before he can face Anju once again.
[determined, serious] I know Anju is worried...but I can't go out yet. I made a promise to her that I would bring the wedding mask and greet her.
[warmly, serious] We promised each other when we were children that we'd marry on the day of the Carnival of Time.
