Augury Aurora is a mysterious pegasus that has a tendency to show up only for the sake of offering advice or just "checking up" on the protagonists. He is cryptic and vague, but is otherwise laid-back and casual, not afraid to be blunt. He usually speaks with a firm but calm voice, though amusement or annoyance can become apparent. Think a less joking version of Sans from Undertale, or a more approachable version of Meta Knight from Kirby: Right Back At Ya!.
Augury Aurora is a major recurring character. He will have speaking lines in several episodes, but not too many. For the first season, he is only planned to appear in maybe half the episodes.
You know, when the townsponies hear about getting some new neighbors, they don't typically plan to bombard them with massive amounts of attention. A friendly greeting, maybe a little gift here or there... sure, sometimes there's the whole 'welcome to town' party that one mare is so fond of, but once it starts, you can pretty much just slip out unnoticed. So I'll admit that I'm curious why you're already secluding yourself.
(a bit irritated) Have you ever tried listening, rather than talking?
(serious, somber) I understand that you have had your problems in the past. So have your... companions. And so have thousands upon thousands of ponies and other creatures out there. If you can make a difference... why don't you?
this was the role I was really hoping to get, but you know what, you delivered the character better than I did by a long shot, good job, and good luck making the show a big hit, can't wait to see it
