About Erin Moore

I was born and raised in South Africa. Being brought up in an interracial family during Apartheid will teach you a lot about the world, really fast.

My upbringing, my family, my lived experiences as a child and my neurodiversity shaped a titanium strength sense of justice in me. And that led me to being involved in many different professional and personal levels of speaking out for those who can’t.

I was a dog trainer for 15 years, helping people learn to speak dog so they could have a peaceful and mutually beneficial relationship. Because at the end of the day, isn’t that what we all want (including our dogs)? To be seen, heard and understood!

My heart and soul dog Piper and I moved from South Africa to Canada many years ago (no, I’m not telling you how many and giving away my age). She was with me through every major event in my adult life. Marriages, divorces, starting businesses, switching businesses and careers, moving countries, all of it. She was my ride or die.

When she padded off her mortal coil a few years ago, it was the kick in the ass I needed (after I found my way out of the massive fog of grief) to try something I’d always wanted to do, but never believed I could - audiobook narration.

And here I am, still having to pinch myself that I get to do this for a living somedays.

Because now, I get to live in author’s worlds and their words as I bring them to life in audiobooks.

The magic that is created when an author is brave enough to bring their stories to the world is awe inspiring.

So thanks munchkin, for guiding me in life even from the afterlife!

I’m still owned by border collies and they get me out in the beautiful mountains of BC, keeping me physically (and mentally!) fit, so I can continue fighting the good fight!

What Erin Moore is looking for

I stand with one foot firmly in the video games camp and one firmly in the audiobooks camp.

Both have their own charm, fun and draw. And both are a form of escapism, relaxation and imagination for us.

Books saved my life as a kid. To be able to escape the not so great realities around me, and feel, for however long I was in the book - safe. Everywhere I went I had a book with me and I still have a few hours every evening where I disappear into a book.

Video games showed me a whole different world as an adult. Funnily I used to hate them, until I experiened and realized how much they can change (and sometimes save) lives. The community formed and even the connection to the characters in the games can be an important part of people's social network and mental health, and I want to be a part of that.

So I create and play characters for both games and audiobooks. It is fun, challenging and a helluva way to get paid. Plus, I'm good at it.

Hit me up with any video game or audiobook projects and let's bring your dreams to reality and create a world for others to escape to, together!

Erin is a pleasure to work with and understands clear instruction. Shes a professional! When she auditioned for one my roles, it was a godsend because I couldn't find anyone with the right voice. She came and delivered her lines like a pro. She understands voice inflection, when to go high or low etc. Looking forward to working with her again.

Amazing work! Handed in lines quickly, asked questions to make sure she got it just right, and nailed it first try! I would definitely recommend working with her :)
