I am an Animation Compositor who has worked on projects for Netflix, Anime, Video games and various short films. Additionally, I have produced a few documentaries, and place a large emphasis on a consistent aesthetic throughout any given project. I enjoy writing, and I am looking for an opportunity to bring two mediums I love together; poetry and animation. My intention with this film is to make a film that uses experimental technique without it feeling so dark and upsetting, I would much rather make a "nice piece of candy", as I like to call it, especially in the age of COVID where we're surrounded by bad news every day. As a creator, if I can make a sweet thing that lasts only a minute or two but sparks some joy, I go to bed happy. The Matchstick Man represents a lot of my fears but also the ability to overcome them by maintaining hope and wonder.
