HELLO! I'm Rowena and I am a novice right now in the professional acting world, but I have decades of experience exploring my voice and body and their capabilities, creating original characters and writing rich backstories for those characters.

• I enjoy learning new subjects and skills and experiencing new things.

• I am a super fast learner and love challenging myself.

• I use deductive and inductive reasoning and possess strong pattern recognition. I'm a big fan of the Socratic Method.

• I have a very vivid imagination, which is one of my superpowers.

• I “go ham” on researching a role and creative collaboration.

• I take direction and constructive criticism very well. I am always seeking to improve myself and learn from others.

• My recent discovery of having Autism Spectrum Disorder Level 1 (High Functioning Autism, formerly known as Asperger’s Syndrome) has given me great insight into understanding myself (as well as others) and I believe that it is my greatest superpower.

• I was unable to pursue a traditional degree in Acting, however, I have taken the time to curate my own acting educational experience based on curriculum of the top drama schools in the world. I have also had the greatest privilege of being able to study at the top drama schools in the world and the top acting coaches.

• I have also learned throughout the years that life and time can be the best teachers.

·       Coached High School Speech and Debate where I taught HS age kids to research, write, and edit scripts down 10 minute live performances

·       Worked at the George Mason University Institute in Forensics and was their unofficial Accents & Dialects coach

·       Alumni of the University of Texas National Institute in Forensics and InterProd

·       Played ADELAIDE in 8th grade musical, Guys and Dolls Jr.

·       Was in Drama Club in HS until I discovered Speech & Debate

·       I’ve been singing musical theatre and Disney songs since I was 5.

·       I have Relative Pitch and can match the pitch of any note within my range from songs, instruments, people and objects and I can harmonize with those sounds. (Sometimes I’ll help tune my partner’s guitar with my voice!)

· Mezzosoprano belter that can sing with an accent, and even an added cold

·       Natural proclivity for accents, dialects, languages and imitating sounds and animals.

·       I can age and regress my voice and include physical efforts.

·       Elementary proficiency in Tagalog, Spanish, Mandarin, French, Hawaiian, Japanese and Korean.

FUN FACTS

·       I have been imitating my Filipino mother, father, aunts and uncles since I could breathe! (Think of Jo Koy!)

·       At 3 years old, I saw the Chocolate Factory episode of “I Love Lucy” and knew then that acting is what I wanted to do for the rest of my life.

·       I used to seriously annoy my older sister by answering her calls in different characters I came up with like Ling from China Star Café and Ajay from Tandoori Palace.

·       I am super nerdy and enjoy the technical aspects of nearly everything, from science and tech to cooking and baking.

·       I care a lot about people, especially children and marginalized groups.

·       I believe that food is fuel and movement is medicine.

·       My dolphin, monkey cries and dinosaur screeches are scary believable.

·       Intermediate level piano and flute playing

·       Beginner level guitar, Native flute and ukulele playing

·       I dropped out of university in April 2020 to pursue my dream of acting!

·       I totally joined the Open Casting Call for the Live Action Moana movie, in which I prepped for the role by studying the Hawaiian and Samoan languages, learning wayfinding (or navigating the sea by studying the directions of wind and bird flight patterns and the position of the sun, moon and stars) making nets and baskets from coconuts, learning how to swim and hold my breath, and Polynesian dancing (which I learned from my mother who used to teach it).

·       Former member of a Filipino Folk Dancing Group, a collegiate competitive hip-hop dance team and a collegiate salsa dance team; training also in ballroom, Latin ballroom, jazz, modern, ballet and Polynesian dancing

·  Junior blackbelt in Taekwondo, experience in boxing, Muy Thai, and Okinawa Te Karate

· Former Varsity Cheerleader, Varsity Dance Team and experience in gymnastics

· Beginner level skiing, rock climbing and bouldering

· Advanced level weightlifting

· Played Volleyball (setter), Basketball (shooting guard), Tennis (singles and doubles), Softball (shortstop), and Track & Field (100 yard dash, 200 yard dash, 4x100 relay, shotput)

· Intermediate level horseback riding

Unauthorized use of my voice, likeness, written work, images, or any content created by me constitutes a violation of my rights and will be subject to legal action. This includes, but is not limited to, copyright infringement, trademark infringement, misappropriation of likeness, violation of privacy and publicity rights, and any other applicable legal claims.

5. Digital Rights Management (DRM): DRM technologies are employed to control and restrict how my digital voice recordings, written work, images, and any content created by me are used, distributed, and accessed.

6. Legal Action: Unauthorized use of my voice, likeness, written work, images, or any content created by me will result in legal action, including but not limited to seeking damages, injunctions, and any other remedies available under applicable laws.

7. Professional Organizations: As a voice actor, on-screen actor (including commercial work), stage performer, and content creator, I am exploring membership with professional organizations to access additional resources, protections, and advocacy to safeguard my rights.
