@roberto-vargasHello there! I am Roberto Vargas. I am a 16 year old Mexican-American student filmmaker with autism and ADHD based in Austin, TX. My pronouns are he/him/his. My goals are to eventually work in the film industry as a director, producer, screenwriter, editor, and actor.
A little more about me:
My name is Roberto Vargas. I'm a teenage (16yo) student filmmaker based in Austin, TX; I enjoy directing, writing, and editing my own short films.* (I also pursue live-action acting work occasionally.) I have experience in directing, producing, screenwriting, editing(film footage and QLab), acting, and production design.
My interests besides the ones listed above are playing the guitar(acoustic and electric), reading fiction novels, exercise (i.e. going on runs or rowing), and hanging out with my friends.
*Films that I will announce are filmed in my hometown Austin in their entirety. For that reason, I will only ever cast actors who live in Austin or are willing to commute there for the film. The one exception to that are voice actors; I am willing to cast actors from anywhere since they will not need to attend an in-person shoot.

Unfortunately, I can't give monetary compensation to crew members in projects I direct. However, all said crew members will be compensated with a copy of the finished project(film/animated project/etc.). I will also pay for their meals during breaks between filming.
For projects I am hired for(my services as an actor, writer, producer, film editor, animator, and/or production designer) I will accept the compensation listed in the project I signed up for. It doesn't necessarily have to be monetary compensation; I am willing to do unpaid work.
