@renatusdurantI'm an actor who runs Let's Perform projects in my spare time for fun and practice on weekends
My Twitch channel: https://www.twitch.tv/shadowcloudrift
YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/user/ShinobiCloud/playlists (I archive the recordings here)
Let's Perform Explained: https://youtu.be/zU9oYtKBJco
Actors who wish to practice and have fun in my "let's perform" sessions:
1. Reliability: You must be able to show up. If you can't make it, that is okay, but you must provide an advance notice. The earlier the better. Last minute cancellations (canceling on the day of the performance) are disrespectful to me and the other actors who put aside time for these sessions. It is understandable because sometimes life happens, but repeated offenses(three) will lead to expulsion from future sessions. Also please be timely(end of the day) with answering Discord messages especially when I ask for your availability. Those who are good at answering back messages in general will be graded higher in the vetting process.
2. Effort: Give me your best. That's all I ask. Notice how I don't list "performance quality" as one of the factors. We're here to practice and have fun, no one should be making fun of each other in the group. Sometimes you may need to cry, grunt, shout, curse, etc for your performance and you can't shy away from that.
3. "Story first": You'll have plenty of lines as the lead, but recognize that the story comes first as an actor. There are a few people participating who aren't necessarily actors and are only here for a good story. If you worry about having sufficient lines or not, these sessions aren't for you. Half of the reason I do these sessions is for enjoyment of a good story and the other half is for practice.
4. Equipment: Have a computer with Discord and a decent mic/headset. Try to isolate background noise as much as you can during the sessions.

I've been doing his "let's preform" cold reads for about a month now. Renatus is very clear and straightforward. He is accommodating to your schedule and since everything is done live he is very understanding of tech issues. "Let's play" is a great way to know some fellow actors and gain experience!

Cloud is one of the most considerate, accommodating people I have ever had the pleasure of working for. His patience and empathy meant I felt safe working with him even when my kids had emergencies, or I ended up too sick to participate. When filming he made the streams feel safe and lively, and his present but level-headed approach made each performance feel not only incredibly fun, but deeply engaging.
An amazing director. 10/10, would work with again. -

Joined in with a live recording session. He was quick to react to changing circumstances and was on the ball when it comes to managing a large group of people.
Managing a big project with live-dubbing isn't easy but he knows what he's doing.
As far as acting goes. He comes across as a natural. Was a pleasure.
