About Rayllan

What to put in an introduction or about section? It seems like the usual thing to do is to talk about job history so people get a sense of your work. Whenever you meet someone new at a function or some other gathering, the inevitable question that arises early in conversation is "What do you do?" These days I find that my favorite response comes from Red Forman, father to Eric on That 70s Show, whose response is "About what?"

Work does not define us. Our interests, hobbies, personality type, and general attitude speak more to our character than the job we pursue to earn money and pay the mandatory bills. I'd like to be known for my traits that make me an interesting individual, so here's a brief summary:

-

Aside from the tagged interests in the "About My Work" section, let's see ...

I love all animals but have an affinity for cats of all shapes and sizes

Playing guitar and studying music is an excellent way to relax after long days

I'm always teaching myself some new skill, like how to build DIY guitar kits

Movies, TV, and stand-up comedy are lifelong joys

Art is fascinating, specifically character design and landscapes

Unique food recipes or strange fusions are fun to look up and try out

Recently been getting into history thanks to the Behind the B*stards podcast

I've been brewing homemade wine and mead to share with friends

Gotta add video games too, but need to cut back

I made a puppet from scratch for the first time ever a few months ago!

Target practice with airsoft and BB guns in the garage is great fun

Weight training and biking keep me somewhat healthy

I'm an upbeat person who will either try to make you laugh or will engage in a philosophical discussion on any idea that arises. No topic is off the table. I believe that the best jokes include everyone or are self-deprecating in nature. Not sure if I'm a pessimistic optimist or an optimistic pessimist, but I believe strongly in balance and also in thinking about possible outcomes to a situation ... the unintended consequences, if you will.

-

Okay, that's enough to get a general sense of who I am. If you read this far, then let me say thank you, wish you a wonderful day, and an eventful week :)

-

Also, I've taken a break from it, but I've got a YouTube/TikTok page called BADCEEDSstudio that puts out comedy skits. I've been writing some new material and plan to get back into making videos by the beginning of 2026.
