@rafaelvinavoBilingual EN/ES LGBTQ+ Voice Actor | Youthful, Expressive & Conversational | Games, Animation & Commercial
Hi, I’m Rafael Viña, a bilingual English/Spanish voice actor based in Los Angeles. I specialize in character-driven performances for animation, video games, audio dramas, visual novels, and other independent storytelling projects.
My natural voice is youthful, expressive, and conversational, with a mid-to-high range.
My acting background includes training in acting and script interpretation through Stella Adler, along with character and voiceover coaching from working actors such as Matthew Rudd and Arianna Ratner. My approach begins with understanding what the character wants, who they are speaking to, and what is happening beneath the dialogue. I focus on creating believable reactions and clear emotional choices rather than relying only on a distinctive voice.
I enjoy working with independent creators and collaborating to discover the version of a character that best supports the story. I’m receptive to direction and comfortable adjusting pacing, vocal placement, energy, emotional intensity, reactions, and personality while maintaining consistency across lines and recording sessions.
I can perform in English, Spanish, and natural Spanglish or code-switching. I record from a treated home studio and can provide clean, edited audio with reliable communication and organized file delivery.
The class builds upon the fundamental principles explored in Acting Technique 1: Foundation, and incorporates scene work designed to establish a strong foundation for each actor. Actors learn to develop character through actions and objectives drawn from the text.
On-going training on animation VO, video game VO, and commercial VO
Stella Adler’s approach to acting, including action, circumstance, and justification, rooted in the power of the imagination. Actors will develop a foundation from which to build themselves as actors as well as human beings.
