Zara Yaqob | Ethiopian Leader Mod for Civilization VI ~ Needs Dedicated VA!
Project Overview
This is for a mod that adds an animated, fully-voiced leader to Sid Meier's Civilization VI known as Zara Yaqob, Emperor of Ethiopia.
We are requiring someone who is dedicated to working with us, and being able to attempt to get an authentic voice that would help make the mod standout and make the leader's voice acting seem more legitimate in nature. Working with us would require you to be able to attempt new things such as Amharic, and try to work towards an accent that would suite the leader.

Useful Notes:
- ▪ This role is for an Ethiopian emperor who ruled from 1434 to 1468.
- ▪ Though the accent says "South African", it should lean way more towards an Ethiopian side of dialect and tone. Another note is that the voice should be spoken sternly and boldly given his position of power as a character.
- ▪ Please note that each line does come with an Amharic translation for the line. We are requiring someone who can speak or at the least give some form of an attempt to speak the language to some degree. For this reason we've provided a bit of a guide on how to say each line in Amharic for English speakers below.
- ▪ Please refer to following the lines as they have been written. They've been written a specific way for a good reason, so sticking to them is pertinent. (Though changes for purposes of auditioning is fine as long as they are slight.)
