Personality. Yugi is kind-hearted and child-like. He is good at games, riddles, and puzzles, especially Duel Monsters. As Shadi stated when he looked into Yugi's Soul Room, he has no malice or wickedness in his heart.

started out as a bully, but becoming friends with Yugi Muto changes this. jonouchi can seem gullible, sarcastic, impulsive, and occasionally cocky; but he is also heroic, loyal, bold, kind-hearted, caring, good-natured, funny, brave, selfless and loving.

Hiroto Honda is the Toei Yu-Gi-Oh! anime version of the character Hiroto Honda, known as Tristan Taylor in most English media.
Honda's crush on Miho is expanded in this series. Here he is not Katsuya Jonouchi's crony, but a rejected candidate for class president and junior custodian.

That’s Ushio, the public morals guy. He’s the one that made all the rules for this school. He’s quite impressive.
Téa Gardner, known as Anzu Mazaki in the Japanese versions, is one of Yugi Muto's best friends. Téa does not usually play games with Yugi and his friends, but in the beginning of the anime, she could beat Joey Wheeler in Duel Monsters, and was later shown to be more than competent against others.
(strict) You can’t be serious. It’s saying things like that that makes you easy prey.
(still annoyed) Yeah well if I didn’t act tough, they would walk all over me like they do to you. You’re going to have to learn to stand up for yourself every now and then, Yuugi.

Miho Nosaka is a major character in the Toei Yu-Gi-Oh! anime and Yu-Gi-Oh! (1999 flim).
Miho appeared once in the manga in a story in which Hiroto Honda bought her a love jigsaw puzzle. In Toei's anime, she was made into a main character, alongside Yugi Mutou, Anzu Mazaki, Hiroto Honda and Jonouchi. Her role and personality in the anime are significantly different from the manga, but in both Honda has a massive crush on Miho, and this lasts throughout the Toei series. Even though in the anime she is also in the episode about the jigsaw puzzle, her role in the story is minor and instead the story is about Mayumi buying the puzzle for Jonouchi.
(somewhat shocked) It’s okay, I was just surprised. (sad) We have way too many students at this school; I haven’t been able to buy lunch.
Ushio is the Toei Yu-Gi-Oh! anime incarnation of Tetsu Ushio, later known as Tetsu Trudge in English media.
Ushio is a hall monitor and trainer of the disciplinary group, who enforced many rules and was feared by many. He beat up Katsuya Jonouchi and Hiroto Honda, under the rationalization that he was protecting Yugi Mutou and insisted that Yugi pay him bodyguard fees
(unconvinced) Hmmm. Bullying isn’t something to take lightly.
(the victorious kind of cocky) This is what happens when you cross me. And don’t you forget it! [laughs]

Solomon Muto, known as Sugoroku Mutou in the Japanese version is the grandfather of Yugi Muto. "Sugoroku" is a Japanese game similar to Backgammon. Solomon gave Yugi the Millennium Puzzle as a present. He owns the Kame Game shop, where Yugi and his friends get several of the games they play. Solomon is the present day counterpart of Shimon Muran.
