Yu-Gi-Oh! Fanfic Audiodrama: Into the Dragon's Lair (A Seto Kaiba Story)
Project Overview
Hello, everyone! I am the author of a Yu-Gi-Oh! fanfiction titled "Into the Dragon's Lair: A Seto Kaiba Story". It has been on my mind to turn it into a full audio drama with voice acting, music and sound effects, and now that I have completed the narration for the story I thought it was time to start hiring the talent! Into the Dragon's Lair is not just your average fanfiction; it is a complex novel with deep character development, an interwoven and solid plot, and a strong ending that leads into a sequel. I am seeking actors and actresses that are going to fully commit to this project, as this is my brainchild and I want to give it as much love and attention as I did the novel. So be prepared, and come at me with your best!

RULES AND REQUIREMENTS
- Have a fairly decent mic, basically minimal to no background noise, no pops or peaking. Your voice must be clear and concise.
- Have a Discord or Facebook account. This is so we can send audio files/ documents back and forth, and if you find yourself needing help with how to dictate a certain scene or piece of dialogue.
-WARNING: The lead characters do have dialogue that contains profanity or suggestive themes at times. If you are uncomfortable with this but you are cast for the role, please message me and I will do what I can to accommodate you.
- This project is all in fun; I will not tolerate bullying, slandering, or anything else of the sort to either me or anyone in the cast. If I find you have been acting inappropriately you WILL BE RECAST.

Seto Kaiba is the main protagonist in the story. He is the president and CEO of KaibaCorp, and is looking to either buy-out or make a deal with rival company Templar Technologies to gain control over the gaming market. During the transactions, he finds himself developing romantic feelings for Templar Tech's CEO< Rachel Pendragon. Like in the show, he is selfish and prideful; however, as the story progresses (and his feelings for Rachel grow) he becomes less brash and more gentle, forgiving and raw.
Character traits: Selfish, Arrogant, Prideful, Hard, but grows gentle and forgiving over time. He is very loving toward Rachel later in the story.

(Normal Speaking Voice) "You people…I don’t know what to think of this whole thing anymore. One minute you all reject me and make a mockery of me, and now you want to become bedfellows."
(Gentle) “You pulled me out of a very dark place, one I should have been able to get myself out of but didn’t know how. You gave – give – me a strength I never knew I possessed. And...I'll always owe you for that."
(Dueling) “Blue-Eyes White Dragon, Blue-Eyes Spirit Dragon and Maiden with Eyes of Blue – attack his life points directly!”
Voice range: Medium / Medium-High. 23 years old.
Rachel Pendragon is the female main protagonist of the story. She is the new CEO of Templar Technologies, and has to deal with Seto Kaiba as he tries to encroach on her company. She is also a direct descendant of King Arthur, and is proud of it. After defeating Kaiba in a duel she agrees to make a deal with him to merge their companies, and unexpectedly begins to develop romantic feelings for him along their journey as business partners. Rachel is headstrong, intelligent and sassy, brooking no back-sass from Kaiba. Rachel does have a kind side that shows more often than not, and she always chooses to see the best in people. However, she also tends to get over-emotional, especially as her feelings for Kaiba grow. Like Mokuba, Rachel pronounces Seto with a hard "T" sound - "Seh-TOE", not "Seh-DOE".
Character traits: Headstrong, Intelligent, Sassy, Kind, Emotional

(Normal Speaking Voice) “Since we’ve concluded business for the moment, I figured I could treat you to the sights of the city while you were here."
(Emotional) "Seto, I’m so lost. Everything has happened so fast and so unexpectedly that I can’t wrap my head around it. I feel like I’ve been floating in space, with nothing solid to anchor me down."
(Dueling) "With King Artorigus on the field, the Knights of the Round will do what they can to keep him safeguarded. I special summon Noble Knight Gavin to the field in defense position by activating its effect from my hand!”
Voice range: Medium / Medium-High. 19 years old.
Mokuba Kaiba is the younger brother of Seto Kaiba, and vice-president of the Kaiba Corporation. While he is not a lead character, he plays an integral supporting role in plot development. While normally kind and care-free, Mokuba is also a Kaiba and can give hard orders when necessary. In the show, Mokuba was portrayed as a preteen boy with a higher-pitched voice. In this story, however, he is nearly twenty with a deeper voice, though not quite as deep as Seto's. Like Rachel, Mokuba pronounces Seto with a hard "T" sound - "Seh-TOE", not "Seh-DOE".
Character traits: Kind, Care-Free, Child-Like, Business-Driven

(Normal Speaking Voice) “This plane ticket is for tomorrow morning, and the hotel is booked out for a month. Do you want me to start making arrangements for transportation while you're in New York, Seto?"
(Excited) “Come on, Rachel – we should have a duel! I want to see your deck in action!”
(Slightly Downcast) "But Seto, you just got back…what about the introduction of the KaibaCorp rebranding to the public?”
Voice Range: Medium-Low. 25 years old.
Galen Pendragon is the older brother of Rachel Pendragon, and the antagonist of the story. While he holds a percentage of Templar Technologies stock, he does not have any say in the company dealings. He is a jealous man, quick to anger and has an explosive temper that often leads to some sort of physical violence. He puts himself first, though he does have a soft spot in his heart for his little sister. He has a history of past drug use, and can be erratic and make bad decisions under pressure. He is described as 'weasely', with an oily voice.
Character Traits: Jealous, Angry, Erratic, Weasely
NOTE: Galen's thoughts jump around a lot, so he cycles through emotional states very quickly. He normally attempts to keep his cool around Rachel, but loses his head very quickly once he discovers Rachel has taken up a romance with Seto Kaiba. He is very hateful toward Kaiba especially.
(Normal Speaking Voice) “I’m only in temporary charge here, and they know when they can push and shove against me. They thought it in our interests to allow the government to handle it, not a private agency.”
(Angry) “Wake up, Rachel! Kaiba’s been using you all along, saying what you want to hear and playing your emotions to get what he wants.”
(Dueling) “I activate Intrigue Shield, protecting King Artorigus from destruction once per turn, and protecting me from taking any damage from your attack!”
Voice Range: Low / Medium-Low. 56 years old.
Caleb Pendragon is the original CEO of Templar Technologies, and also a direct descendant of King Arthur. After he passes off his company to the hands of his daughter, Rachel Pendragon, he is found brutally murdered. Caleb is a big, beefy man with a big voice and a big heart.
Character Traits: Kind, Firm, Proud.
NOTE: Caleb Pendragon is sure of himself and his children. He has a jovial quality to his voice, almost sounding as though he is about to laugh with every sentence. He is also very protective of Rachel, and suspicious of Galen.
(Normal Speaking Voice) “As most of you may know, we’ve had a rather generous offer from Japan’s Kaiba Corporation toward buying out our new virtual reality technology.”
(Angry) “Your sister said she has an explanation. Either you shut your mouth and listen to it, or you leave and you get nothing out of this deal!”
(Resigned, Defeated) “If anyone is going to find this video, I know it’s going to be you, Seto Kaiba. I encrypted this file with the hope that you and Rachel would eventually figure out the truth of what is going on. Son, by the time you find this... I have a feeling that I'll already be dead.”
Voice Range: Medium-Low. 25 years old.
Yugi Muto is the old rival of Seto Kaiba, and the King of Games of Duel Monsters. In this story he only has a cameo appearance, but his role is integral in setting up the sequel (in which he is a main character). In the show he was potrayed as a teenager with a higher-pitched voice; in this story, he is in his mid twenties and his voice has deepened and matured. Though the Pharaoh has left him, he still retains Atem's memories and maturity.
Character Traits: Heroic, Kind, Selfless

(Normal Speaking Voice) “I’m very happy for you both, especially Kaiba. It’s been a long time coming for him to finally learn to look outside of himself.”
(Happy) “I’d love to come to your wedding! Has the date been set?”
(Inspirational) “There’s nothing that can really stop you; with your heart and his head I know you both can achieve whatever it is you desire.”
Voice Range: Medium. 60 years old.
Gozaburo Kaiba has a very small part in this story as a hologram. He is aggressive and angry, threatening to kill Kaiba and Rachel in a virtual reality simulation.
Character Traits: Angry, Aggressive

Voices Include: KaibaCorp Agents, Templar Tech Agents, misc male voices. You may audition with your demo reel if you have one, as the voices needed vary.
(KaibaCorp Agent) “Mr. Kaiba, Galen Pendragon is on hold for you. He said he has an urgent message for Miss Pendragon, but she hasn’t been answering her phone.”
Voice Range: Any. Middle-Senior Age.
Voices Include: Secretaries, a nurse, and Rachel Pendragon's mother Lisa (as a hologram). You may audition with your demo reel if you have, since the voices needed vary.
(KaibaCorp Agent) “Mr. Kaiba, Galen Pendragon is on hold for you. He said he has an urgent message for Miss Pendragon, but she hasn’t been answering her phone.”
