Smerk YouTube Channel (Witty Movie Recaps) - Looking For Voice Over, Writers, Video Editors
Project Overview
Wassup everyone! Do you enjoy films/movies? If so, this project may seem a bit interesting to you!
We are hiring a bunch of new members to help us produce content for our new YouTube project. We are launching a brand new channel that’s called “Smerk”. On this YouTube channel, we are going to be posting movie recap videos similar to the channel “Minute Movies”, he basically recaps films in a funny / witty way. I’d suggest watching one of their videos before auditioning for our job (they’re pretty fun to watch). We are essentially looking to launch a channel similar to them, but with a little twist.
At the moment, we're looking to bring on more writers, video editors & 1 voice actor. We require the voice actor to stay for the lifetime of the channel, we’ll elaborate on this throughout the interview phase.

What We Ask From You:
- First and foremost, have fun -- we take pride in bringing together talents in different mediums to create something truly phenomenal, but none of it means anything if the people involved aren't passionate about their craft.
- You're able to work in a team of like-minded content creators (who are movie fans hopefully :D)
- You can commit to at least 3 scripts/audio/video per week.
- You're 15 years old or older. We encourage young talent to work with us, we’re young ourselves.
- You're able to deliver consistent quality & not cut corners (at least as good as your audition).
- You're able to meet deadlines
- You're willing to stay with us for longer than just a few weeks.
- We're mainly working for someone that's easy to work with, so expect us to have a bunch of comments for improvement

We are looking for an experienced male voice over artist that can narrate scripts that basically recap films in a witty, funny way. Check the channel "Minute Movies" for an example.
- Each Voice Over will be around 2000-2800 words per script (10-15 minutes)
- Pricing will be $25 per script (so $75 Each Week) + Incentives as we progress!
- You must be a male, sound young, preferably a bit deep, not old.
- Age: 17-24
Try not to sound too professional; make it sound casual / relaxed. Not too voice actory-y. make your voice sounds a bit deep, make it sounds natural, like a YouTuber, add some personality to it, if that makes any sense haha. Heres an example of the tone I want. Try placing your mouth closer to the microphone so it sounds similar to the example sent below. Requirements:
- Be able to narrate at least 3 videos a week.
- Sound young & mildly deep
- Have a natural, monotone voice that can also be energetic
- Must be able to work LONG TERM (by long term I mean, the lifetime of the channel, that is potentially YEARS, we want you to be happy throughout this journey)
- Be willing to sign a contract, that is renewable every year.
And, judging by the closed ring box on the ground, it looks like James tried (and failed) to propose to Kristen. Ouch dude, that must’ve been a very awkward car ride home. And you even had a full on romantic dinner set out at the house? Man, this really is a skill issue.
After that absolute violation, he goes into his bedroom to call his drunk friend, Mike, asking for a lift in the morning.
As James relatably eats a tub of ice cream by himself to swallow the sadness, Kristen comes out and joins him.
We are looking for an experienced creative writer who can write compelling scripts that basically recap movies. To complete this task, you will need to focus on the storytelling/narration of a film in a conversational manner. The script MUST include GEN-Z humour & references with a touch of personality. (you will have creative freedom here).
Ultimately this task should feel a lot more fun because a lot of the formality and strictness of writing in these scripts are loosened a bit. We just want you and our viewers to feel connected a lot more.

What if you could control time?
Each script will be around 2000-2500 words long. Pricing will be $60 per script (negotiable if you have the right skillsets, and will increase as the channel progresses)
2-3 scripts a week.
How To Audition:
Write the first 350-500 words of a recap of the film: The Boy (2016) or Equilibrium (2002)
We recommend keeping the movie open and skimming through it to jog your memory while you write. Of course it doesn't have to be perfect, We'll still alter/touch up the script, but we are still looking for a certain level of quality.

We will pay between $25-40 per edit, depending on your skillsets.
