Iris trained in classical Indian music and dance but fell in love with K-pop during her teenage years. She’s not used to the new style of dance so she struggles occasionally but is training hard. She’s thoughtful, graceful, and nurturing, being the second “unnie” of the group she often helps the younger members and acts as a big sister. Iris faces cultural backlash from her extended family, who don’t understand why she chose an unconventional career. Being her company’s first Indian trainee definitely makes her feel an immense amount of responsibility and obligation to do well.

She never thought of auditioning and getting into a Korean company but her “kpop crazed” bestfriend encouraged her to audition for this small new company and her soft flowy rap and powerful dance shined in her audition. After moving to Korea and training for 6 months the company pushed her to join the survival show not so much with the expectation that Blaire would win but in hopes to gain more attention and popularity to her image and the company. She's really laid back and quiet.

Na Seolhee is this season’s host. Seolhee is a former 2nd-gen idol that debuted in the infamous group “VXN.” Most agree VXN “paved the way” for current girl groups, winning several awards & performing many times internationally. Breaking the barrier for K-pop on the western market. VXN hasn’t formally or officially disbanded, but they haven’t had a comeback in years. During Seolhee’s active idol days, she was considered 2nd-gen “it girl” because of that era. She’s been invited to host several award shows, she’s even landed acting roles. Seolhee is one of Korea’s most famous designer brand ambassadors. She is admired by contestants.

“Welcome to the show ladies, I’m excited to see what you got.“
Nam Suwon. Suwon is a former 2nd-gen K-pop idol who debuted in a 5-member boy group “F1RST.” Suwon was the leader & main rapper of the group. After a drug scandal from the main vocal, the group lost popularity & received a lot of unwarranted backlash & had to ultimately disband after 5 years of success.
Suwon redebuted as a soloist & showcased his vocal skills he didn’t get to showcase before as a rapper, along with his producing skills, winning many awards & gaining international attention. Suwon recently featured on a few survival shows for boy groups as a judge. This is his first time on an all-girl show. He doesn’t know what to expect, but he’s excited.
Many contestants drool over him as his current & former fan. He gives a lot of compliments & is very expressive when he sees something he likes on stage. He radiates this kind of big brother energy that’s adored by contestants.

Choi Yeonji is another coach. Specializing in dance and choreography, Yeonji has choreographed for the biggest groups in the industry since 2015. Yeonji is mostly a hip-hop dancer but is known for her complex member transitions & ability to showcase each member’s skills in her choreos, no matter the amount of members. While being a mostly hip-hop dancer, Yeonji has mastered every genre of dance. Yeonji has a tomboy/genderfluid style of dressing & of dancing. Yeonji is very criticism-heavy on the importance of being fluid in the genre & stepping out of your comfort zone. She encourages all contestants to try new styles because “that’s what makes you likable & a true elite idol.” Yeonji has such a cool girl, nonchalant but strong way of speaking vibe. She doesn’t shy away from praise when deserved. Typically gives the best compliments & has a good eye for facial expressions during dancing. Definitely gives contestants cool points with her when they are expressive during choreo

“The premise of the show is exciting— ‘Who Will Shine?’ I’m pumped to see what these rookies have to offer.”
(turns to Naksoo) “I Like their spirit” (chuckles)
“Coming unprepared like this (points between them) you’ll never debut”
Kim Naksoo is one of the very thankful coaches (judges). Naksoo debuted in 2007 under a major company in the group “Lilies.” Lilies took the nation by storm, becoming the biggest girl group of the second generation. Being the visual & center, Naksoo loved the idol life. Unfortunately, Lilies disbanded in early 2011, the reason being named “conflict in new contracts,” but netizens suspect otherwise.
Since 2011, Naksoo is considered a soloist. She has not had a comeback in 4 years & more so puts her attention in modeling. Naksoo is one of the kinder judges. She’s soft-spoken & hardly gives harsh feedback. She’s very sympathetic & favored by the contestants.
