Your Lie in April Scene - Kaori's Letter [Time Sensitive Project]
Project Overview
Hey guys, Sarabii here. I haven't been able to make any new fandubs for a
while, but now that we're getting close to a certain special month, I've decided
that my comeback will begin with my favorite scene from Your Lie in April.
I will be voicing Kousei Arima (sorry). I will upload a demo of me VAing him later.
Audition Guidelines:
1) Have emotion in your acting! Nothing is more dull than emotionless acting (I would know, since I used to do it, whoops).
2) Stick to the deadlines I give you! I want to be able to upload this fandub by the last week of April, so I really need a cast who will work quickly and efficiently.
3) Have good sound quality! It doesn't have to come from the best mic, but it can't have any background noise/fuzz, either. I want this project to sound as professional as possible.
4) Have fun! Because that's what I'm doing this for. Lol. Have fun with your acting, but don't go too crazy.
So, to reiterate, I want to be able to upload this fandub to my YouTube channel, VongolaTenthDubs, by the last week of April, so please help me make that happen by auditioning! Many thanks!
-Sarabii.

Kousei is an extremely talented pianist who finds himself unable to play the piano until Kaori Miyazono comes into his life and turns his world upside down (for the better). He will be voiced by me (sorry). I will upload a demo of me VAing him later.
Wait, what??
Springtime is coming. The season I met you. A springtime without you is almost here.
Kaori was an extremely free-spirited, friendly, and enthusiastic violinist who knew
how to bring Kousei Arima out of his shell. She normally had an extremely
cheerful and energetic voice, which is shown in some of the scene. However,
for the majority of the scene, her voice reflects the sincere tone of the confession and
goodbye she is telling to the love of her life. As such, her voice actress must voice
must be able to express the aforementioned emotions. She does not have to sound
like the Japanese or English voice actresses (however, she can, if it works)--she should
focus on fitting the character rather than mimicking someone else.
Hey, you. I mean, "Dear, Kousei..." You were just here, but now I'm writing you a letter. Kinda weird, right?
The first time I ever saw you, I was five years old. It was at a recital for the piano school I went to back then. You marched onto that stage, and then made us all laugh by knocking over the bench. You sat at that giant piano and, with the first note you played, the world became more colorful.I had always been getting sick since I was younger, and the hospital stays just kept getting longer and longer. Then, one night, I saw my parents crying in the hospital hallway when I went to get some water. That was when I knew I didn't have much time left. So I made a choice. I ran. And I didn't look back.
So, what's the verdict? Was I able to live in someone's heart? And this "someone" wouldn't happen to be you, would it? Do you think that...you'll be able to remember me from time to time? No hitting the reset button, okay? Don't you ever forget me. That's a promise, okay? I'm glad we found each other. Will I reach you? I hope I can. Here's the truth Kousei: I love you.
Tsubaki is Kousei's and Ryota's best friend, who is in love with the former. When Kaori dies, she decides to step up to the plate with her feelings and be there for Kousei with all she has. She does not have to sound
like the Japanese or English voice actresses (however, she can, if it works)--she should
focus on fitting the character rather than mimicking someone else.
Hey...You had better not think you're going to be alone now or something! I'm going to stick by your side forever and ever like I was covered in super glue! So you better get used to it!
Ryota is Kousei's and Tsubaki's best friend, and is a bit of a play-boy. He has a playful, charming voice that can make all the ladies swoon. He does not have to sound
like the Japanese or English voice actor (however, he can, if it works)--he should
focus on fitting the character rather than mimicking someone else.
(to Kousei) Gotcha! Hehehe...
(to Keiko) I hung out with some other girl, so what?! You were busy that day, remember?!
Kaori's dad is very loving toward his wife and his daughter, and that should show in his voice. He does not have to sound
like the Japanese or English voice actor (however, he can, if it works)--he should
focus on fitting the character rather than mimicking someone else.
(to Kousei) You know, you brought a lot of smiles into Kaori's life.
(to Kaori) Well, well, look who's home again. Huh? Why do you want to switch instruments?
Kaori's mom is very loving toward her husband and her daughter, and that should be reflected in her voice. She does not have to sound
like the Japanese or English voice actresses (however, she can, if it works)--she should
focus on fitting the character rather than mimicking someone else.
(to Kousei) Thank you for coming. Here, Kaori left this for you.
(to Kaori) Hi, honey, want a snack?
Hiroko is one of Kousei's guardians and his piano teacher after his mother. She has one line.
Look at you, playing it with such nuance. You're growing up, kiddo.
Nagi is the little sister of Takeshi, and admires Kousei for his skills as a pianist. She needs a childish, high-pitched female voice. She has one line.
(flustered) Ah, I'm just smiling because it sounds so pretty! Falling for my brother's rival would be so cliche!
Keiko is Ryota's main girlfriend, who finds out Ryota was also seeing other girls. She has one line from off-screen.
(to Watari) You sleazeball! Go to hell, you big cheater! I'm done with you!
