Project Overview
Your Best Friend Yumi! (YBFY for short) is an animated indie web series I’ve been pouring my heart into. It’s styled like a visual novel, with a vibrant cast of characters and influences ranging from The Amazing Digital Circus and Doki Doki Literature Club to Class of '09 and, to an extent, Petscop.
Outside of music and voice work, the entire show is produced and run by me. Most of the cast has already been picked—except for two key roles: Yumi and Cerbia. Yumi is the show's namesake and central character, while Cerbia plays a pivotal role in episode one and remains important throughout the series.
If you're looking to be part of something special, this might be your shot. And if this project gains traction in the future, you will be paid for your time. For now, however, the pilot (Episode 1) will remain strictly voluntary. Auditions end this month.

Analog: Nicole (Class of '09)
Description: Yumi is a deeply antisocial and somewhat toxic person who always seems like she'd rather be anywhere else but here. Almost everything she says drips with sarcasm, and when it doesn’t, it’s usually something shockingly vulgar.
Could you like... Cut that out? You've been eyeing me like a necrophiliac at a morgue, and it’s not helping my body dysmorphia.

Tone and cadence: Cold, commanding, intense. Shouts like a drill sergeant. Strong and sharp delivery. Strong Russian Accent.
Analog: Satsuki Kiryuin (Kill La Kill)
Description: A no-nonsense class monitor with the presence of a battlefield commander and a little too hung up on the rules. She’s loud, disciplined, and commands authority the moment she speaks—every word is sharp, deliberate, and leaves no room for argument. Her voice is deep, clear, and unwavering, especially when barking orders or enforcing rules. She doesn’t just speak—she declares.
FRONT AND CENTER! DELINQUENT! I am Cerbia! Appointed Class monitor, hall monitor, bathroom monitor, and monitor of any and all deviant scum who dare disobey!
