Project Overview
About the project:
This project is the not the official English Dub series, this is purely a fan series for fun and without payment or funds to do so. None of these roles will offer payment of any kind.
Youjo Shenki: Mini Anime is a side -series of Youjo Senki produced by Studio PuYUKAI. This mini-series features all of the characters in a chibi form and stories not important relating to the main plot. In short, there are no spoilers that will spoil the series to those who are wanting to get into The Saya of Tanya the Evil.
This is one of my first projects, so in addition, there will be roles for editors, music and audio editors along with voice actors. One rule put forward, if a voice actor gets the role you auditioned for please remain professional, do not attack them. This has happened many times before I understand. Please lend support and in the future, this kindness can be paid forward. This project will be posted on media websites like YouTube, Tumblr, etc. Please be aware of this. All voice actors if chosen will have their Youtube Channel or links added to our descriptions.
Requirements for Voice Actors:
- When auditioning please make sure you are able to use a proper microphone. There can be no background noise, although some are alright we are hoping to restrict as much background noise as possible. Earphones and phone speakers are NOT allowed.
- Please have proper editing software for your audio. The software doesn't need to fancy, audacity will work for this as well. This is for cutting and noise reduction. Although our editors can do that, please help the workload
- When submitting please record three takes of each line. We'd like to hear different tones, voices, and unique vocal techniques. If your file ends up being too big please email them to me at [redacted].
- Note: Although making different voices is fun, we are hoping the voice actor can carry the acting aspect. Please make sure you able to carry the emotions of each character.
- Please note your microphone, software, or other things we should be aware of when you submit your audtion.
Requirements for Editors or Engineers:
- Please have proper editing software. Even if this your first project we would like to have editors with software to make the needs of this project. Video clipping, audio edits, submitting/uploading videos without a watermark from certain video software.
- Audio editors must follow the same guidelines, please have proper editing software and techniques.
Rules for this Project:
- Professionalism: Please remain as professional as you can. Although making friends and mingling is to be expected, a drama is the last thing we need in our project. This can be from having another actor who received a role and lashing out. This is an example.
- Confidentiality: As a director and past voice-over talent, it's understood many voice actors choose to keep their discords, skype, etc usernames under lock and key. Please respect that and do not release usernames, emails, or possible aliases of others who are working on this project.
- Have fun: Remember to have lots of laughs, fun, and enjoy yourself!

Tanya Von Degurechaff is the main protagonist of the light novel/anime Youjo Shenki: Saga of Tanya the Evil. Tanya sounds and appears to be the age of nine or ten years old, Tanya is a Second Lieutenant, feared by many of peers and mages despite being the young girl she is.
Tanya has a lot of sociopathic traits, cold, calculating and sees others as objects she can use and take advantage of. This voice actor has to be able to display a mixture of voices. A sociopathic laugh, cold and distant, and a childish voice.
The voice: The voice actor needs to display a childish voice with a slight rasp. When auditioning please keep in mind to do each line three times.
To begin with, in the circumstance that he wanted to lecture me on faith, he made this kind of situation! Shows he has no sense of it!
- When doing this line attempt to sound as frustrated as you can. Displaying anger, -

I would say, the brave and reckless are similar but quite different.

Viktoriya Ivanovna Serebryakov a.k.a Visha one of the supporting characters within the light novel/anime Youjo Shenki: Saga of Tanya the Evil. She works under Tanya's leadership.
She appears to be a naive girl like most teenagers of her age. She tries hard to follow Tanya, her platoon leader. She is carefree, friendly, hopeful, a god-belive, and an optimistic person. She cares for the lives of her commander, best friend, and her comrades. She often gets pumped up when people choose to talk about food with her.
The voice: The voice actor needs to display a happy nature. Not high pitched or childish however need to be able to display voices of worry, happiness, and shyness.
Is that so? *pause* But it happens to everyone. When I was a child, a bully in my neighborhood took my doll.
- Give Viktoriya a naive demeanor. -
S-Second L-Lieutenant... second... l-lieutenant?... You made a scary face..
- Attempt to sound childish and fearful. -

Vooren Glanz a.k.a Vooren is a Second Lieutenant who serves as a loyal member of the empire. under Tanya Degurechaff.
He seems like a young man with short-medium blonde hair and emerald eyes. Like the others, he wears the military uniform as a default.
The voice: The voice actor needs to display a happy nature. Not entirely childish but somewhat cocky. He's a playful character within the mini-series.
T-Then! I would like to take home *pause* leave~ Or so I thought... No, It's nothing!
- When using the word "then" sound scared and yet determined. The voice actor can out the emphasis wherever they please for this dialogue. -
No, No. You definitely remember it, do you not?
- Sound excited or impressed, or somewhat in awe. -It's just because she eats too much~
- Sound jokingly, this line isn't meant to be aggressive -
Koenig is a tall man with sharp facial features. He has dark brown hair that he kept long, tied in a low ponytail on his back. He has a sharp chin and smaller set eyes. Like all soldiers, he wears the military uniform.
His character is a silent-typed man who is listening to Tanya's orders properly. He also comes off as friendly towards his comrades and never doubts their abilities.
The voice: The voice actor should display a smooth tone, cool and carefree. A good reference would be Izaya Orihara.
You're a dependable comrade on the battlefield, but you're still too young.

Rhiner Neumann is serving as the 4th Company Commander of V601 under the command of Tanya Degurechaff. He has a very round face, brown hair, and dark eyes. Additionally, he has a stout appearance in the anime. He is seen wearing his military uniform.
His overall personality is playful. He always has a habit of teasing his comrades about their lifestyles.
The voice actor: The voice-over talent should have a joking and happy like attitude. His overall voice needs to be a tad deeper than an average teenager.

Major it would be fine. Major, you are too little. If you loved sweets, there would be no problem.
Matheus Johan Weiss a.k.a Matheus is the Vice Commander and 2nd Company Commander of the 203rd Aerial Mage Battalion. He was appointed vice commander by Tanya.
He has a curved face, black hair, and eyes. He often wears his military officer suit in causal circumstances. He is a prudent yet not unrelenting man. He is skilled at managing and is able to discipline his subordinates, making him competent at his duties. He is very concerned about his subordinates, usually taking care of the battalion in various ways and enjoying the confidence of them.
For Tanya, he is thoughtful and reliable subordinate whom she is willing to spend much time on, She also usually chats (sometimes bickers) with him.
For warnings in advance: In a particular episode he has a suggestive line, however, this line remains family friendly but implies something that isn't of parental guidance.
The voice actor: The voice-over talent should have a caring dad like nature. However stern.

The 22nd Feild combat manual for Air Mages suggests that when assaulting the ground forces if one encounters an anti-air formation, one should avoid formation.
The main video editor must be able to perform the basics of video editing.
- Cutting clips
- Adding sound effects.
- Adding the initial voice-over audio to the "episodes" posted.
- The ability to match given audio and sound effects to the video produced.
This video editor will be notified of other responsibilities once the application has been accepted.

Respobilites: Must be able to edit and assemble recorded raw material into a suitable finished product ready for postage. This editor will be responsible for viewing, making sure the audio matches the lip movements, the music matches the scene, etc.
Ensure the video is in a proper HD format for uploading purposes. This video editor will support the lead video editing, giving a second hand, helping the work load.

This particular editor will be in charge of the following:
- Ensuring the audio of each voice actor is properly noise reduced, isolating as much noise from their background as they possibly can.
- Ensuring the audio tracks produced or edited sent to the video editor in a proper format along with timely manners.
- The audio editor must have proper editing software. Although audacity is acceptable we'd like to have better audio or the best we can. As the following episodes will be posted to multiple media platforms.

Although I'm more than willing to write the script myself, I'd like to have a writer alongside me with offering a second view. Ideally, the writer needs to follow the original material, however, also offer feedback to the voice actors in a professional manner about their lines, takes, and revisions.
- Must be able to write in proper or readable English. [This will make the voice-actors job a lot easier. Although slip-ups are allowed, please make sure it's not an all the time occurrence. ]
- The writer needs to be able to send and write the script in a "stage play" or scripted format. It's preferred the documents are sent in the form of a PDF to avoid editing of the script. Someone who has a basic understanding of Microsoft Word, however, can also use it, is noted as an asset.
