Yarima: The Strings of Fate (Samurai Fantasy Metal Musical) Voice Actors Needed for LovAnaverse Audio Drama

Project Overview

Yarima - The Strings of Fate - A 10 Episode Audio Drama Series Set In LovAnaverse

A warrior woman is bound to protect her land from the monsters that rise each night. Armed with an enchanted katana and a magical voice, she seeks to break the endless cycle.

We are currently casting for a number of voice acting roles for this series, which is already in production. Episodes are fully recorded with scratch tracks to make it easy for you - we just need you to replace the lines with your performance and bring these characters to life!

The roles centre around a cast of Dimarai, who are essentially a faction of elven samurai. Japanese style accents are preferred, but not essential, as Yarima doesn’t have one herself. Yarima is performed by the character's creator, who has an original song featured in every episode. Aside from Yarima and the role of the narrator, every other part is up for grabs!

LovAnaverse Overview

Welcome to the LovAnaverse, a groundbreaking musical multiverse where stories, music, and community come together in an original shared universe. Music is a source of supernatural power in our universe, with rock, metal, and alternative music leading the charge—though many genres will have their place. Our goal is to create a vast array of living, breathing worlds where music, storytelling, and immersive experiences collide in cinematic audio drama episodes enhanced with art and animation. The experience gets even more interactive with the addition of our upcoming trading card game, featuring cards based on the stories.

You can check out our first episode now - the video embedded in this post. Whilst it is very dark, differing in style and tone to the Yarima series, it'll give you an idea of our production quality and vision. However, these episodes will be a little less visually dynamic and feature much more depth of story than the first episode.

Auditions from both posts will be considered and cast once we have received an appropriate amount. Thank you for your interest on the project and we will be in touch for casting soon :)

Jin’ai is a Dimarai leader, a great warrior and most trusted ally of Yarima. He is strong and stoic, often in council with Yarima and leading the Dimarai in battle. A flashback shows a younger version of them both, where Jin’ai is playfully sarcastic. But in the present he is battle-hardened and a disciplined warrior for the cause.

This role is highly likely to recur in future Yarima episodes.

  • “There are realms we touch when we stand at the brink of life and death, Yarima. Some call it a dream, others a passage. But whether it was real or not matters less than what it has stirred within you. You have returned, not without reason. Something has called you back.”

  • “Then go, child. Let your heart and blade be as one with the flow. And when you face the darkness, remember that you do not face it alone. Your ancestors, the noble warriors who have come and gone, are with you. They will guide you when you call upon them - for even death cannot overcome love.”

  • “Greatness, Yarima, is forged not in your battles with others, but in the battle with yourself. What you seek to prove - your strength, your honour - will always be out of reach if you continue to chase it like a shadow.”

  • “You can. You must. If you continue to fight the shadows with strength alone, you will be consumed by them. But if you learn to move with the flow of the world, to find balance within yourself, you will become something greater. Something more than just a warrior. You will become like the great dragon himself.”

Tarako - Ethereal Dragon

Unpaid
Role assigned to: Chris Neil

19 lines across E3, E7 & E8

Deep resonant dragon voice - Japanese accent would be a bonus, but is by no means required. Priority is just a voice that is deep & epic without being too dark.

Tarako is an ancient ethereal dragon that offers Yarima mystical wisdom in multiple scenes throughout the series - most prominently in the ethereal realm itself, where he reveals to Yarima the very web of fate. Despite his draconic nature, he should not sound dark or overly monstrous - he instead has a teasing, playful quality, as if he is simply amused by Yarima's lack of perspective on the greater wisdom of existence. Yet he is ultimately a benevolent mentor that guides her towards this knowledge.
